I’m so unfit and totally out of shape I decided to do something drastic…EXERCISE!! Yes it is drastic for me because I don’t even like walking never mind jogging or doing crunches. I’ve had my baby six months ago today and I thought that its time I do something or else it will just get totally out of hand. I’m not grossly over weight, I just need to get rid of the excess fatweight that I picked up during my pregnancy and I’m also not on any diet or anything I’m just taking it one step at a time and exercising is my first step. I do need lots of encouragement though because it is a slow process for me and I could get bored with it so please keep the comments of encouragements rolling.

Madison is six months old today and I’m such a proud mommy. She’s growing beautifully and I’m enjoying the process. She started eating solids about 2weeks ago and so far so good. Oh yes, I must also mention that daddy dearest is so “hands on” with Madison its actually fun to watch the two of them go at it. I think so far he’s the only on that can make her laugh uncontrollably. I love it!!

You may know me.
I’m your constant companion.
I’m your greatest helper; I’m your heaviest burden
I will push you onward or drag you down to failure.
I am at your command.
Half the tasks you do might as well be turned over to me. I’m able to do them quickly, and I’m able to do them the same every time,
if that’s what you want.

I’m easily managed; all you’ve got to do is be firm with me.
Show me exactly how you want it done; after a few lessons I’ll do it automatically.
I am the servant of all great men and women; of course,
I’m the servant of all the failures as well.
I’ve made all the winners who have ever lived.
And, I’ve made all the losers too.

But I work with all the precision of a marvelous computer
with the intelligence of a human being.
You may run me for profit, or you may run me to ruin;
it makes no difference to me.

Take me. Be easy with me, and I will destroy you.
Be firm with me, and I’ll put the world at your feet.
Who am I?

I’m Habit!

Small blessings May 27, 2008

Dear Lord, it’s such a hectic day
With little time to stop and pray
For life’s been anything but calm
Since You called on me to be a mom
Running errands, matching socks
Building dreams with building blocks
Cooking, cleaning, and finding shoes
And other stuff that children lose
Gitting lids on bottled bugs
Wiping tears and giving hugs
A stack of last week’s mail to read
So where’s the quiet time I need?
Yet when I steal a minute, Lord
Just at the sink or ironing board
To ask the blessings of Your grace
I seen then, in my small one’s face
That you have blessed me all the while
And I stop to kiss
That precious smile

Good mom or bad mom? May 27, 2008

I was watching my daughter sleep one night and I thought to myself, there could be nothing more sweeter or peacefull than a sleeping baby. Although it was quite an effort to get her to that state, but then a sudden feeling of guilt came over me. I thought about all the times I was impatient with her or how frustrated I became all too quickly or that I was a bad mother because I felt inadequate and that I wasn’t everything she needed me to be. I’m constantly worrying about whether she’s dressed warmly or that she’s dressed too warmly or if she’s content or if I’m being a good mother? I guess these are all universal fears especially for first timers like myself. While she’s alive and breathing I guess I’m doing the best I can or atleast know how.

The Part of You That No One Sees

You are passionate, romantic, and emotional.

You put love first in your life, even though you have often been disappointed by it.

You expect to be swept of your feet, and you never expect infatuation to die out.Underneath it all, you are scared that you aren’t lovable.

Your insecurity has ruined many relationships, as you are unable to see the love that’s really there.

You are secretly afraid of being alone. Confronting your insecurities is incredibly painful.
